We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Dental Officer to join our Special Care/Paediatric Dental Service in Gloucestershire. As a key member of our team, you will provide specialist care to children, young people, and adults with additional needs.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative team, providing high-quality clinical care in a variety of settings, including clinics, hospitals, and domiciliary locations. You will be supported by the Specialist in Special Care Dentistry and other senior clinicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive clinical care to adult and paediatric patients with special needs.
  • Lead and manage a team of dental officers and dental therapists.
  • Develop and implement oral health promotion activities for children and vulnerable groups.
  • Work collaboratively with the Clinical Director and other stakeholders to develop the strategic vision of the service.
Requirements
  • Full GDC registration and Performer Number.
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant clinical subject.
  • Wide experience of working in a special care setting.
  • Clinical experience in treating adults and children with additional needs.
