AWS Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced AWS Engineer to join our Technology, Data and Software Development (TDSD) teams. As an AWS Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing enterprise cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy complex cloud infrastructure using AWS services
  • Manage and maintain cloud environments to ensure high availability and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-based solutions
  • Develop and implement automation scripts using tools like Python
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and features

Requirements:

  • Significant commercial experience of designing, deploying, and managing enterprise cloud environments
  • Experience administering Windows and Linux environments
  • Experience with containers and container orchestration (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes, EKS etc.)
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Knowledge of platform and application automated deployment technologies like Puppet, Chef etc.
  • Exposure to iterative/agile development methodologies
