About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Chief Executive's Office. As a key member of our Corporate Management Team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Chief Executive in achieving our organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional administrative support to the Chief Executive, ensuring seamless execution of key priorities.
  • Lead and manage the Executive Support team, overseeing the Chief Executive's casework and streamlining internal governance and decision-making processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across all levels of the Council and with external partners, driving organisational improvement through thought leadership and innovative solutions.
  • Prioritise and manage multiple complex schedules, ensuring the efficient use of the Chief Executive's time.
About You

We are looking for a proactive and organised individual with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of complex organisational dynamics. You should excel in building strong relationships across all levels of the Council and have a proven track record in improving systems and streamlining processes. Experience in a fast-paced, politically complex environment is essential, along with demonstrated thought leadership in organisational improvement.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial, enabling you to manage multiple priorities and complex schedules effectively. Your strategic oversight and project management experience will be vital in this role, as will your strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work autonomously.
