Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Gas and Oil Engineer to join our team at Corrigenda Group Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive gas tasks across Surrey and surrounding regions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Carry out Planned and Reactive Maintenance: You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across our estate, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards and within the required deadlines.
  2. Work Independently or as Part of a Team: You will work independently or as part of a team to meet required deadlines and contract performance standards.
  3. Flexible Working Hours: You will be required to work flexible hours to suit business requirements, including out-of-hours call-out rota and attending emergency mechanical repair works as required.
  4. Escalate Issues: You will be responsible for escalating issues to your Supervisor/Contract Manager immediately.
  5. Liaise with Site Staff: You will liaise with site staff to gain access to sites and rooms to carry out maintenance tasks.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Domestic/Commercial Gas Certification: You must hold domestic/commercial gas certification CCN1, CENWAT, CODNCCO1, CDGA1 and CIGA1.
  2. Recognised Health & Safety Training: You must have recognised health and safety training.
  3. Operate SMART Devices: You must be able to operate SMART devices and complete electronic documentation.
  4. Full UK Driving Licence: You must hold a full UK driving licence.
  5. DBS/Police Background Checks: You must be able to pass DBS/police background checks for working in schools/police stations.
Desirable Qualifications
  1. NVQ 2/3 in Relevant Mechanical Discipline: An NVQ 2/3 in a relevant mechanical discipline (or equivalent experience) is desirable.
  2. OFTEC Registered Technician: Being an OFTEC registered technician or having knowledge/experience working on oil-fired appliances/systems is desirable.
  3. Unvented Water Systems: Knowledge of unvented water systems is desirable.
  4. Electrical Safety Training: Electrical safety training is desirable.
  5. IPAF/PASMA Qualification: An IPAF/PASMA qualification is desirable.
