Economics Academic Mentor Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Economics Academic Mentor to join our team at EdEx – Education Recruitment. As an Economics Academic Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting the Economics Department at a modern, creative secondary school in the London Borough of Harrow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting KS3-5 Economics lessons, with a focus on attainment and quality of learning
  • Tutoring Economics 1:1 and in groups of 2-6 students
  • Carrying out GCSE and A Level interventions
  • Working closely with teachers to develop and implement effective learning strategies
  • Providing additional support to students who require extra help

Requirements:

  • Desirable degree in Economics or a related subject from a reputable university
  • Good A Levels and GCSEs across the board
  • Confidence in your ability and knowledge of the GCSE and A Level curriculum
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
  • Commitment and ambition to succeed

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £105-£110 per day, term time only
  • A full-time position, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
