Job Description: We are seeking an exceptional Teacher of History to join our team at a secondary school in Andover. As a member of our Humanities Department, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative history lessons, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills in students, and working collaboratively with colleagues to enrich the curriculum and learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lesson Planning and Delivery: Develop and deliver lesson plans that cater to diverse student needs and abilities, promoting academic excellence and personal growth.
- Assessment and Feedback: Regularly track and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and additional support as needed to ensure students reach their full potential.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with colleagues in the Humanities Department to share best practices, develop curriculum resources, and enhance the overall learning experience.
- Safeguarding and Well-being: Uphold high standards in safeguarding and promote a positive classroom atmosphere, ensuring the well-being and safety of all students.
Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need a degree in history or a related subject and relevant teaching qualifications (or in the process of obtaining them). Strong classroom management and communication skills are also essential, along with dedication to student success and safeguarding.
