Job Overview:

We are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team at a busy recycling plant near Cannock. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering effective planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance activities.

About the Role:

This is a challenging but rewarding role that requires a high level of technical expertise and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for undertaking planned and reactive maintenance activities, conducting fault finding and repair work, and maintaining hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To undertake planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring all relevant equipment is maintained in good working order.
  • To conduct fault finding and repair work on electrical systems, including 3-phase electrical systems, motors, inverters, contactors, sensors, relays, and control panels.
  • To perform mechanical maintenance and repair work on conveyors, crushers, granulators, hammer mills, and other equipment.
  • To maintain hydraulic systems, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, and bearings.
  • To ensure all relevant paperwork is accurately completed.
  • To perform general site maintenance duties.

Requirements:

We are looking for an experienced multi-skilled engineer with previous maintenance experience in a heavy industry environment, such as recycling, aggregates, or foundry sectors.

Desirable Qualifications:

An NVQ, HNC, or equivalent qualification in electrical and mechanical engineering would be beneficial.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £52,000 per annum, plus benefits including 33 days annual leave, pension scheme, private health care, and sick pay.
