Job Title: Head Housekeeper

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Housekeeper to join our team at The Manor House Roundhay, a brand new 65-bed care home set to open in October 2024. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance throughout the home.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of Housekeepers to ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout the home.
  • Ensure that cleaning products are used effectively and in accordance with health and safety procedures.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and rotas to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Monitor and maintain the condition of all areas of the home, including bedrooms, communal areas, and facilities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless service and high standards of care.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a care home or hospitality setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures, including the use of equipment and chemicals.
  • Understanding of health and safety procedures and protocols.
