About the Role

We are seeking a skilled SEN Teacher to join our team in a vibrant SEN school. The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting students with special educational needs and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality education.

Responsibilities
  • Design, adapt, and deliver lessons tailored to the unique learning needs of students with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and other complex needs.
  • Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), setting realistic but ambitious targets to support each student's development.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a holistic approach to each student's learning and personal development.
  • Regularly assess and record student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed, and provide feedback to parents, guardians, and the senior leadership team.
  • Implement and uphold the school's behavior policy, using positive reinforcement and specialized strategies to support students' emotional and social needs.
  • Stay informed of best practices and new SEN teaching strategies, participating in relevant training and workshops to enhance your professional skill set.
