We're looking for a Large Scale Construction Lead to join our team at Severn Trent, where you'll be responsible for managing significant construction projects across multiple sites in the Midlands region. Your primary objective will be to successfully complete main renewal scheme activities while ensuring customers receive a constant supply of good quality drinking water.
You'll be the senior member of the Construction team on site, coordinating the activities of colleagues and providing support and guidance as required. This role requires a 42-hour work week, Monday to Friday, starting at 7:00 AM and ending at 4:30 PM, with a half-hour early finish at 4:00 PM on Fridays.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing construction projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
- Liaising with external stakeholders, including utility providers, asset owners, companies, local authorities, and customers, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Ensuring full compliance with SOPS for all activities undertaken on site, identifying and mitigating against potential hazards, and documenting findings in a daily dynamic risk assessment.
The estimated salary for this position is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include 28 days holiday + bank holidays, annual bonus scheme, leading pension scheme, sharesave, dedicated training and development, electric vehicle scheme, family-friendly policies, two volunteering days per year, and opportunity to participate in a local mains renewal incentive scheme.
