Water Network Construction Specialist

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water Network Construction Specialist to join our team at Severn Trent. As a key member of our construction team, you'll be responsible for overseeing the management of large-scale construction activities across multiple sites in the Midlands region.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring the successful completion of main renewal scheme activities while maintaining a safe working environment for all team members, site visitors, contractors, and members of the public. This role requires a strong understanding of CDM regulations, utility avoidance, and location techniques, as well as experience working on mains renewal schemes and/or holding a formal NCO qualification.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating construction activities and providing support and guidance to colleagues as required.
  • Liaising with external stakeholders, including utility providers, asset owners, companies, local authorities, and customers, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ensuring full compliance with SOPS for all activities undertaken on site, identifying and mitigating against potential hazards, and documenting findings in a daily dynamic risk assessment.

This is an excellent opportunity to work for a leading water company in the UK, with a competitive salary range of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
