Job Overview: Vortex Recruitment is a leading recruitment agency specializing in agricultural and equine positions. We are currently seeking an experienced Stud Farm Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our stud farm, including handling the foals and stallions, performing grounds maintenance work, and developing and implementing breeding programs to enhance livestock quality.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of animal husbandry practices and welfare standards, excellent organizational and leadership abilities, effective communication skills, and proficiency in using farm management software and record-keeping systems. You will also have experience in livestock management, specifically in breeding operations, and be able to work long hours, including weekends and holidays as required.

The salary for this position is approximately $65,000 per year, depending on experience. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for animal care, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the stud farm
  • Handle the foals and stallions
  • Perform grounds maintenance work
  • Operate the tractor

  • Monitor the health and wellbeing of all animals on the farm
  • Collaborate with veterinarians for regular health checks and treatments
  • Maintain accurate records of breeding cycles, health assessments, and stock performance
  • Train and supervise farm staff in proper animal handling and care practices
  • Coordinate nutritional programs to ensure optimal animal health and growth
