About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Controller to join our External Field team at Circana. As an Area Controller, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Field Workers responsible for collecting data within retail stores across a designated area of the UK (Midlands Region).

Key Responsibilities

  • Take overall responsibility and ownership for operational excellence within your designated area, ensuring tasks are completed on-time, correctly, and to budget.
  • Ensure efficient and effective management is in place to support all aspects of field work, including product knowledge, process compliance, scheduling, documentation, prioritization, and the use of handheld technology.
  • Manage all people management processes, including supervisory visits, appraisals, expenses, holiday approval, and KPI tracking. Recruit, motivate, train, and retain fieldworkers to ensure exceptional quality and consistency of work throughout Field.
  • Prioritize and delegate tasks to ensure all responsibilities are completed on time and correctly.
  • Proactively identify initiatives to improve quality and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Self-motivated, accountable, and committed with well-developed decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, influence, and motivate. Experience in remote people management is essential.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, problem-solving, and delegation skills, with a solutions-focused approach.
  • Strong team player with the ability to foster strong working relationships across teams and departments.
  • High-quality written and spoken English with excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel.
