Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Area Manager in Training to join our team in the Midlands. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of store managers and driving business growth across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Build and develop high-performing teams through effective recruitment, induction, training, and development.
  • Sales Growth: Inspire customers to make purchases through various channels, aiming to increase sales and drive business growth.
  • Service Excellence: Champion exceptional customer service, ensuring it is positively communicated and that the customer is at the heart of every decision made.
  • Target Achievement: Motivate and manage your team to exceed sales targets and maintain excellent standards in all areas of operational activity.
  • Market Awareness: Stay aware of local competition and identify product opportunities on an ongoing basis, providing feedback to your line manager.
  • Store Performance: Review underperforming stores and develop strategies to address performance issues.
  • Cost Management: Manage costs effectively to ensure the profitability of our stores.
Requirements
  • Business Acumen: Possess excellent business acumen and industry knowledge.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to an ever-changing workload.
  • Communication Skills: Communicate effectively at all levels, with strong delegation and organization skills.
  • Self-Discipline: Be self-disciplined and a self-starter, with good IT skills and strong visual merchandising skills.
  • Track Record: Have a proven track record of success in growing sales and profits, with experience in building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Performance Management: Demonstrate experience in performance management of teams to optimize performance.
  • Full UK Driving Licence: Hold a full UK driving licence.
