Talenthire Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to join our team.
Main Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production site, overseeing the production of readymix products, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and visitors.
Key Duties:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Oversee the production process, including the accurate production of readymix products and the timely delivery of raw materials.
- Manage and maintain the site's facilities, including equipment, vehicles, and infrastructure.
- Coordinate and control plant maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
- Monitor and control stock levels, including raw materials and finished goods.
- Manage and supervise a team of drivers, visitors, collectors, and cash customers, ensuring a professional image and adherence to site rules.
- Investigate and report defects, working with management and contractors to resolve issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including general housekeeping and site improvements.
- Enforce environmental policies and procedures, including ISO 14001, and maintain accurate records.
- Update and monitor records within our PACS system.
- Display a flexible and positive attitude, adapting to changing business requirements.
Requirements:
- Self-motivated and responsible individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and initiative to meet the demands of this role.
- Good communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Previous experience in concrete/mortar production is beneficial.
- NVQ mobile plant qualification is desirable.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 7am-5pm
Saturday mornings: 7am-12pm
