Experienced Child Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced child support specialist to join our Initial Response Team in East Devon. This is a fantastic opportunity to build meaningful relationships with children, young people, and families while working towards improving outcomes under the Local Authority's Ofsted Improvement Plan.
This role requires you to support specialist assessments such as Reg 24's, VA's, Pre-birth, and Parenting Assessments. You will work closely with Family Practitioners who support direct intervention work with children. Your key responsibilities will include carrying out Child and Family Assessments, as well as section 47 Child Protection enquiries when necessary.
You must be available in Devon every other week for a full week to support duty, and be able to travel to Devon the alternate week to see children in a timely manner, work directly with families, and attend emergencies or s47 cases. An agency accommodation/commuter travel allowance of up to £150 per week is offered for those living 50 miles or more from their work base.
