About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Housing Support Worker to join our team at Riverside. As a Housing Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support to vulnerable individuals, helping them to maintain and sustain their tenancies, and promoting their independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide housing-related support to customers, including helping them to maintain and sustain their tenancies, connecting them with employability coaches and other support agencies, and assisting them with day-to-day tasks.
  • Work with customers to develop and implement bespoke support plans, involving key stakeholders as necessary.
  • Engage customers in regular planned reviews of their support and risk plans, or following an incident or significant change in their circumstances.
  • Support customers to be 'tenancy ready' to enable successful move-on, and to be financially independent through budgeting plans and maximising income.
  • Ensure the safety of customers by following local safeguarding procedures, recognising and acting on any significant risk, and escalating appropriately.
Requirements
  • An understanding of the barriers faced by vulnerable and diverse customer groups and individuals with complex needs.
  • Experience of delivering structured support and risk management.
  • A team player with a caring, empathetic, flexible, and resilient, can-do attitude.
  • Previous experience in positively resolving incidents.
  • Demonstrate initiative and confidence to make and act on decisions.
  • Competent administrative and IT skills (to be able to produce reports and other communications).
