Residential Property Senior Associate Opportunity

£80,000 - £100,000

Birmingham, West Midlands

A top-tier firm, recognized for excellence in the Legal 500 directory, seeks a skilled Senior Associate to join their Residential Property team in Birmingham. This role focuses on a diverse caseload of matters, including new-build and shared ownership files for housing association clients, offering a balance of work quality and minimal business development focus.

This opportunity is ideal for an ambitious Associate or Senior Associate from a reputable firm, looking for a challenging role with excellent remuneration and a great work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of residential property matters, including sales, new-build sales, shared ownership sales, after-sale transactions, lease extensions, and other matters.
  • Assist clients, including housing associations, developers, and other providers.
  • Support partners and senior lawyers with their caseload of files.
  • Contribute to the development of the department.
  • Accurately record all time in the firm's case management system.
  • Deal directly with clients, maintaining the highest standard of care, taking instructions, and ensuring full compliance.

Requirements:

  • UK qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX) with 4+ PQE.
  • Experience with high-quality conveyancing matters, including shared ownership matters.
  • Exposure to housing association clients with strong knowledge of associated products.
  • Desirable experience includes working with investors and developers or knowledge of development site set-ups.
  • Proven experience of managing matters with minimal supervision and assisting senior solicitors with complex matters.
  • Strong interpersonal skills interacting with clients and colleagues.
  • A passionate personality with an enthusiasm for personal and team development.
