Role Overview

A seasoned construction professional is sought to join Ground Works Services Durham Ltd as a Quantity Surveyor.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect an annual salary ranging from £28,000 to £40,000, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide monthly progress reports to stakeholders.
  2. Prepare and analyze cost/value reconciliations.
  3. Assess, approve, and implement project variations in line with client requirements.
  4. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate cost reporting and contract agreement.
  5. Liaise with the commercial team to implement and manage budget and cost control processes.
  6. Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks, ensuring maximum profit margins and cash flow.
  7. Lead and motivate the commercial team to achieve business objectives.

Familiarity with NEC Contracts is highly desirable.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Proven experience in quantity surveying or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment

This full-time, permanent position requires the successful candidate to relocate to Durham, DH7 8HJ.
