Clinical Specialist - Occupational Therapy

MCG Healthcare seeks a skilled Clinical Specialist in Occupational Therapy to enhance our Integrated Care Team.

About the Role
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their occupational needs and goals, ensuring that each individual receives tailored support.
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with patients and their families, promoting independence and enhancing quality of life.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions that enable patients to engage in meaningful activities, fostering a sense of purpose and fulfillment.
Responsibilities

Educate patients, families, and carers on strategies to manage daily living activities and promote independence, empowering them to take control of their lives.

Work closely with other healthcare professionals within the Integrated Care Team to ensure coordinated and holistic care delivery, breaking down silos and streamlining processes.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, making adjustments as necessary to optimize patient outcomes.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with departmental policies and standards, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and contribute to service development initiatives, driving continuous improvement and excellence.

Provide supervision and support to junior staff and students as required, mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Requirements
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with HCPC, demonstrating expertise and professionalism.
  • Significant experience in a clinical setting, ideally within community or integrated care, showcasing ability to adapt and thrive in dynamic environments.
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills, with the ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions.
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is £48,000 per annum, reflecting the importance of this position in delivering exceptional patient care.
