Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
  • To work within the IPC team, facilitating all aspects of the monitoring, prevention, audit, surveillance, investigation, and control of healthcare infection.
  • To provide advice and support to Trust employees, patients, families, and carers in all matters relating to infection prevention and control.
  • To initiate research, interpret findings, and apply them to practice.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Registered Clinical Practitioner with significant post-qualification experience in acute or community healthcare settings.
  • Educated to diploma/degree level and possessing teaching and assessing qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office or willing to develop competency.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Infection Prevention and Control qualification or equivalent post-graduation experience.
  • Risk Management & incident Investigation skills.
  • Health and Safety expertise.
  • Clinical audit knowledge.
Estimated Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum.
