About Reed Engineering

We are seeking an experienced Materials Scientist Role professional to join our team. As a leading supplier to the Oil & Gas & Aerospace industries, we offer a great opportunity for growth and development. Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science or equivalent, and 2-3 years' experience in a relevant industrial environment. They should be familiar with the physical metallurgy of steel and nickel-based alloys, have experience with hot working processes, and be well-versed in OEM customer quality systems and improvement tools like RCCA, problem solving, error proofing, RAA, SPC.

In this role, you will lead projects to improve product quality and cost efficiency, interface with customers, and work closely with operations to address internal technical issues. You will also ensure relevant documentation is updated to the required standard, establish and monitor key process operation KPIs, develop new products, and operate in line with the company's culture of quality and safety. Estimated salary for this position is around $125,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
