Job Description

Job Title: Senior Childcare Professional

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Childcare Professional to join our team at CrossReach. As a Senior Childcare Professional, you will be responsible for providing high-quality childcare services to children aged 0-5 while their parents attend Counselling and Therapy Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 0-5
  • Leading shifts and supporting colleagues to ensure high standards of care
  • Maintaining adherence to Health and Safety, GDPR, and Child Protection policies
  • Providing basic computer literacy and familiarity with frameworks like GIRFEC
  • Supporting children with their emotional and social development
  • Collaborating with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children

Requirements:

  • Minimum of HNC/SCQF 7 in Childcare or equivalent
  • SSSC registration within the relevant timescale
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with frameworks like GIRFEC
  • Experience working with young children and family support
  • Respect for our Christian ethos and understanding of the impact of parents' mental health on infants
  • Non-judgmental attitude and ability to maintain PVG scheme membership
