SEND Education Assistant

In this rewarding opportunity, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) at an Ofsted-rated 'Good' secondary school in Levenshulme.
Key Responsibilities- Assisting Students: Work closely with teachers to support students with SEND in small group settings, ensuring they receive tailored guidance and resources.
- Behavioural Strategies: Employ evidence-based behavioural management strategies to encourage positive student engagement and promote essential social skills.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and track student progress, adjusting approaches as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Subject Flexibility: Provide support across multiple subjects, demonstrating flexibility in response to changing student needs and school priorities.
- Background in Education: Possessing a background in education, psychology, or related fields is beneficial.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Demonstrate ability to collaborate effectively with teaching staff and other support assistants.
This is a term-time only, full-time position available from January, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role based on individual performance. The estimated weekly salary range for this role is £419.25 - £500.
