About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Geriatrician to join our team at James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Geriatrician, you will be responsible for managing the care of elderly patients with complex medical and psycho-social problems.

Main Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of the Care of the Elderly service
  • Provide out-of-hours cover for General Internal Medicine and cover for annual, study, and professional leave
  • Provide a consultation and advisory service to medical colleagues in other specialties
  • Liaise with medical staff in other specialties and participate in regular clinical meetings and post-graduate activities

Requirements

  • MBBS or Basic Medical Degree
  • MRCP or equivalent
  • Full GMC registration
  • Ability to provide expert clinical opinion across a wide range of problems

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • MD/PhD
  • Possession of ALS
  • Special interest in Acute Frailty, Ortho-Geriatrics, Parkinson's Disease, or Community Care of the Elderly
