Business Risk and Control Senior Officer

Citi's Client organization is focused on delivering exceptional client experiences across the bank. To achieve this, we are seeking a highly skilled Business Risk and Control Senior Officer to join our team.
This role will report to the Client Controls - Engagements and Issues Management Team Lead and will be responsible for implementing key processes and establishing adequate governance around regulatory change processes. The successful candidate will work closely with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd LoD teams to enhance the business control framework and ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in risk, compliance, audit, or related control functions. They will possess project management skills, excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, and the ability to analyze complex problems and identify effective solutions. Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner are essential.
The Business Risk and Control Senior Officer will be responsible for:
- Directing and navigating a team of professionals in overseeing a large portfolio of non-regulatory engagements and supporting the process of independent pre-validation for the client-wide inventory of new and existing issues.
- Overseeing the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive, centralized view of the progress of planned non-regulatory engagements with potential impact on client processes and teams.
- Designing and implementing a reporting capability to ensure effective and timely communication of progress and potential issues.
- Supporting client teams by providing credible challenge throughout complex reviews and supporting impacted teams during the formation and reporting of potential findings.
- Establishing a solid network of key stakeholders in control functions to enable effective collaboration and partnership.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of regulations management, associated risks, and controls, and a keen interest in establishing robust processes and governance in line with Citi Client's strategic objectives.
