Senior / Principal Geo-environmental Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior / Principal Geo-environmental Consultant to join our team at Evan Craig. As a key member of our Geo-environmental Consultancy, you will play a vital role in driving forward the technical output and development of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement technical strategies to support project delivery and business growth.
  2. Manage and lead projects, including site works, stakeholders, and project deliverables.
  3. Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a culture of engineering excellence.
  4. Coordinate and support the delivery of reporting and design packages.
  5. Assist with tender submissions and produce detailed geo-environmental proposals.
Requirements
  1. MSc or above in Environmental Geology / Science or a related subject.
  2. Minimum 4 - 10 years' relevant industry background.
  3. CEnv status preferred.
  4. Technical background to include:
    1. Planning, execution, and supervision of site investigation works.
    2. Preparation of Phase 1 through Phase 5 Contaminated Land documentation.
    3. HazWaste Classification and waste management.
    4. Familiar with DoW:CoP and re-use of material in producing MMPs.
    5. Proficiency in statistics for land contamination, controlled waters DRA, etc.
  5. Background and awareness of managing commercial risk on projects.
  6. Eager and able to manage their workload and balance and prioritise a range of tasks and priorities.
  7. Ideally some background or knowledge of geotechnical engineering.
  8. Ability to communicate technical ideas and solutions to a range of expertise and backgrounds.
  9. Strong client-facing communication skills.
  10. Background and understanding of the importance of mentoring and training junior staff.
  11. Full UK Driving Licence required.

  1. Salary £35,000 - £55,000.
