Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Class 1 Tramper to join our team at Gregory Group. As a Class 1 Tramper, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting bulk goods, including scrap metals, using a curtain-sided or flatbed trailer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and collect bulk goods, ensuring load security using ratchet straps.
  • Use a handheld PDA to complete paperwork and plan routes on a day-to-day basis.
  • Deal with customers face-to-face and over the phone, maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Keep in regular contact with the transport team for updates and manage customer expectations.
  • Attend regular training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid UK Class 1 CE Licence.
  • Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Be able to work regular nights away from home.
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Be a confident, polite, and team-oriented individual.
  • Have good geographical knowledge and be flexible.
