About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Work Area Manager to join our team at Royal Mail. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a dedicated team of up to 15 employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our mail centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of employees to maximise performance and achieve operational targets
  • Champion health and safety initiatives and identify areas for improvement
  • Support the Shift Manager in providing a high-quality service to customers
  • Manage and lead a large team to maximise performance
  • People skills - good communication skills, able to engage and motivate team members
  • Target driven with a track record of improving performance and achieving KPIs
  • Experience of introducing change/improvements and successfully leading people through change
  • Data analysis and problem solving - ability to use data to identify trends in performance and develop solutions
  • Relationships - able to build effective working relationships with stakeholders

Requirements

  • Experience of managing and leading a large team
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Target driven with a track record of improving performance
  • Experience of introducing change/improvements and successfully leading people through change
  • Data analysis and problem solving skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders
