About the Job:

We are currently recruiting for a Social Housing Maintenance Manager to join our team in Manchester.

This is a temporary position, expected to last 2 months or more, with the option to extend or make permanent.

The estimated salary for this role is £25-£30 per hour, paid through an umbrella company.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of repairs professionals, ensuring they deliver high-quality work on social housing properties.

To succeed in this role, you will need relevant experience in a lead repairs position, preferably within a Housing Association setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Holding accountability for the leadership and management of the day-to-day repairs team.
  2. Delivering outstanding performance, inspiring the team to develop and maximise their potential.
  3. Conducting regular van stock and audit checks.
  4. Monitoring team performance, evaluating training needs and qualification opportunities.
  5. Identifying future service challenges and developing strategic approaches to address these.
