Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Product Service Engineer to support the development and launch of new electrification products. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the product support team to identify opportunities for system and process improvements, managing product quality systems and processes, and providing SME support to internal partners and dealerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Support: Take the lead within the product support team to identify system or process improvement opportunities and initiate action to deliver solutions.
- Product Quality: On-going management of the product quality systems and processes to meet defined quality targets.
- New Product Introduction: Support New Product Introduction readiness plans and strategies for new electrification and advanced power offerings.
- SME Support: Provide SME support of products to internal partners and dealerships.
- Continuous Improvement: Work across functional teams to identify, launch, support and communicate Continuous Product Improvement projects to improve product performance.
- Design and Manufacturing: Develop appropriate procedures and plans to ensure product quality and evaluate results to identify functional deficiencies.
- Production Process Evaluation: Evaluate production processes to identify defects in manufacturing and design.
- Design Optimization: Modify designs to maximise production efficiency and product quality.
- Technical Documentation: Write technical specifications and instructions to ensure product quality and performance.
- Project Management: Track and manage the status of projects from inception to release.
- Dealer and Customer Support: Conduct dealer and customer visits to provide support for new product introduction or assist with technical issues.
Essential Skills:
- 5+ years working in a Product Support background.
- 5+ years data gathering and analysis.
- Electrification experience would be highly desirable or energy transfer.
- Root cause analysis for new products.
- Data review experience.
- Demonstrable experience displaying mechanical aptitude and the ability to relay information to technical professionals.
- Support and lead continuous improvement projects.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Salesforce, PowerBi, and engineering internal systems.
Desirable: Electrification or energy transfer experience.
