Financial Accountant Job Description

SF Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a leading business in the Construction & Manufacturing industry to find a qualified Financial Accountant.


About the Role

The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and be responsible for the production of financial accounts and reports, ensuring that finance systems and processes are robust and scalable.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and control the production of financial accounts and reports
  2. Produce monthly management accounts and regular group reports
  3. Work with site teams and the shared service department to review and understand monthly costs
  4. Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and prepare year-end accounts and group consolidation
  5. Comply with audit, tax, and statutory returns
  6. Provide technical accounting guidance on UK/international GAAP
  7. Support the Chief Financial Officer in preparation of plans and forecasts
  8. Support the Chief Financial Officer on ad hoc commercial projects

About You

You will be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with Manufacturing or Production Accounting experience. Experience of Peoplesoft or Coins accounting packages and construction/engineering experience would be an advantage.
