Job Title: High School Navigator

Rappahannock Community College (RCC) is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to fill the position of High School Navigator. This is a restricted, full-time 12-month classified staff position.

About the Role:

The High School Navigator will play a critical role in promoting college and career readiness among high school students. The successful candidate will be responsible for arranging campus visits to RCC, promoting RCC's programs and career pathways, and informing students about careers in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote college and career readiness among high school students
  • Arrange campus visits to RCC
  • Promote RCC's programs and career pathways
  • Inform students about careers in the region
  • Work with high school students to identify their career goals and interests
  • Provide access to academic advising, financial aid, scholarship information, and wrap-around services for students
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated passion for learning and a willingness to meet students where they are
  • Ability to engage with peers and colleagues in supporting efforts to improve student success
  • Strong interpersonal skills to help engage, provide support to, and motivate students
