Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a SEND Teaching Assistant at a 'Good' rated SEND school in Crosby. This is an excellent opportunity for someone committed to making a meaningful impact in the field of special education.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work closely with students to create a positive, nurturing environment, helping them navigate their unique challenges and reach their full potential. This role requires a skilled individual to support children with Autism (ASD) and Complex Learning Difficulties (CLD).

Responsibilities:
  • Build strong relationships with students and staff.
  • Encourage and support students in their learning journey.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the students.
  • Practice De-escalation and calming techniques to manage challenging behaviors.
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children or adults with additional needs.
  • Able to support students of all abilities.
  • Positive and ambitious attitude to learning.
