Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Truck Technician to join our team at Sonic Automotive. This is a unique opportunity to work with a fast-growing truck/fleet shop and receive factory OEM training and support.
Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose malfunctions and communicate with the parts department to ensure efficient repair of trucks.
- Document work performed and notify the service advisor of additional work or repairs.
- Examine vehicles for additional safety or service work to maintain a safe working environment.
- Road-test vehicles and supervise apprentice technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform tasks safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop area to comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record essential.
- Authorized to work in the USA necessary.
- Must perform duties in a safe manner and pass pre-employment testing.
