Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join our team at Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated. As a key member of our Finance organization, you will be responsible for supporting International Revenue Analytics and providing strategic insights to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Consolidate and analyze International monthly Actual Results and Full Year Forecast, presenting results to multiple forums and managing risk and opportunities.
Prepare and present International Revenue consolidated views, building a compelling story to share with Global HQ.
Support Regional Finance teams by providing standardized templates and reports, guidance on commercial KPI benchmarks, regulatory dates, and key assumptions, and reviewing and challenging monthly revenue Forecasts.
Partner with IT, Commercial, and Regional Finance to ensure financial systems are aligned with revenue analysis and forecasting needs in Hyperion.
Support Director of International Revenue with Long Range Plan inputs, consolidation, and review of output.

Commercial KPI Analytics

Support Director of International Revenue with Commercial IHQ business needs.
Build best-in-class reports providing all KPIs across Actual and Forecast.
Challenge regional KPI assumptions based on past historical performance and trends.
Work closely with Director of International Revenue on KPI metric definition alignment to ensure validity of various KPI calculations.

Senior Management Presentations and Ad Hoc Analysis

Prepare and provide monthly and ad hoc revenue reporting for senior management.
Support the Finance and Accounting organization through corporate planning cycles and lead ad hoc projects and analysis.
Manage and lead the Actuals/Landing estimate process, providing insight to the CFO ahead of month-end results.
Prepare efficient and nimble Excel models to support monthly and quarterly senior management presentations.
Support and partner with Commercial and International Pricing and Market Access.

Requirements

Relevant accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA, ICAS).
Advanced skill set using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analytics, modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical skills.
Proven track record of developing and maintaining effective business partner relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree in Business, Finance, and/or Accounting discipline.
Advanced skill set using Power BI and thinkcell in addition to required Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills for analytics, modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
Effective project management skills that enable efficient multi-tasking.
Experience in financial planning and analysis and reporting.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment.
Skillful team player able to develop rapport and credibility with senior management.
Experience working within healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or biotech industry a plus.
Experience working in a multinational organization (US parent preferred).
Experience working in a highly matrix reporting environment.
Experience with financial systems (Hyperion/SAP preferred).

Flex Designation

This Hybrid-Eligible role offers the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week or on-site with ad hoc flexibility.
