Job Title: Registered General Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered General Nurse to join our team at a prestigious private hospital in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, England. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to patients with neuro-related health conditions, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive and individualized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough health assessments and evaluations to ensure accurate patient care.
  2. Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  3. Administer medications and monitor their effects to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  4. Provide support and counseling to patients and their families to promote emotional and psychological well-being.
  5. Respond to psychiatric emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed to ensure patient safety.
  6. Clinical Duties:
  7. Monitor patients' progress and report any changes to the medical team to ensure timely interventions.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records to ensure continuity of care.
  9. Collaborate with psychiatrists/consultants, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  10. Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
  11. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and hospital policies to maintain a safe and effective work environment.
  12. Support and Education:
  13. Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatment options to promote informed decision-making.
  14. Promote awareness and advocate for patients' needs to ensure their voices are heard.
  15. Provide mentorship and support to junior nursing staff and nursing students to ensure their professional development.
  16. Professional Development:
  17. Engage in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
  18. Attend training sessions, workshops, and seminars relevant to general health nursing to stay up-to-date with best practices.
Qualifications:
  1. Education: Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification.
  2. Licensure: Valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration.
  3. Experience: Previous experience in a mental health setting is essential.
  4. Skills:
  5. Strong clinical and assessment skills.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  7. Ability to work effectively in a team.
  8. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  9. Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centered approach to care.
Working Conditions:
  1. Hours: Flexible hours, may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  2. Environment: Hospital setting with exposure to patients with various mental health conditions.
  3. Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving patients, and standing for long periods.
