Job Title: Band 5 Locum Registered General Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered General Nurse to join our team at a prestigious private hospital in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, England. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to patients with neuro-related health conditions, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive and individualized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough health assessments and evaluations to ensure accurate patient care.
  • Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Administer medications and monitor their effects to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  • Provide support and counseling to patients and their families to promote emotional and psychological well-being.
  • Respond to psychiatric emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed to ensure patient safety.
  • Clinical Duties:
  • Monitor patients' progress and report any changes to the medical team to ensure timely interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists/consultants, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and hospital policies to maintain a safe and effective work environment.
  • Support and Education:
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatment options to promote informed decision-making.
  • Promote awareness and advocate for patients' needs to ensure their voices are heard.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior nursing staff and nursing students to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Professional Development:
  • Engage in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
  • Attend training sessions, workshops, and seminars relevant to general health nursing to stay up-to-date with best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification.
  • Licensure: Valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a mental health setting is essential.
  • Skills:
  • Strong clinical and assessment skills to ensure accurate patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to promote effective collaboration and teamwork.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and manage workload.
