Lead Pre-Operations Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Pre-Operations Engineer to join our Programme and Project Partners (PPP) team at Sellafield. As a Lead Pre-Operations Engineer, you will direct a team in the delivery of work and ensure activities are delivered in line with established Start Up, Commissioning, and Pre-Operations processes.

You will input into training requirements for future facility end users, enabling successful project handover, and review and report on work progress, taking corrective actions where necessary. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and collaborate regularly with other teams in your project, as well as external vendors and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct a team in the delivery of work and ensure activities are delivered in line with established processes.
  • Input into training requirements for future facility end users.
  • Review and report on work progress, taking corrective actions where necessary.
  • Collaborate with other teams in your project and external vendors and stakeholders.
Requirements

We are looking for an HNC or equivalent Level 4 qualification in a relevant discipline, as well as experience of leading and/or supervising a team in a technical/engineering environment. Excellent communication skills are essential, as well as good leadership skills and the ability to supervise a team.

Experience of working in Nuclear or a highly regulated environment is desirable, but not essential. We welcome applications from candidates with relevant skills and experience, regardless of their background.
