Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Shop Manager to join our team at The Children's Society. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for assisting the Shop Manager in driving sales and profits, leading a team of staff and volunteers, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Shop Manager in developing and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability.
  • Lead and motivate a team of staff and volunteers to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the shop, including stock management, visual merchandising, and cash handling.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, staff, and volunteers to ensure a positive and inclusive shopping experience.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote the shop and its products.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a retail management role, with a strong track record of sales growth and team leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, staff, and volunteers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze sales data and make informed decisions to drive business growth.
