Role: Theatrical Arts & Music Educator

Location: London Borough of Wandsworth
Salary: £160 - £240 per day
Contract Type: Full-time

Opportunity: We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Theatrical Arts and Music Educator to join our esteemed Secondary Academy in Lambeth.

About the Role: Are you an enthusiastic and imaginative educator with a passion for the performing arts? Become a part of our lively Secondary Academy and ignite a love for drama and music among our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons in drama for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
  • Design and implement creative drama curricula that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Encourage a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where all students can thrive.
  • Coordinate and oversee school theatrical productions and performances.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to promote growth.
  • Engage in school-wide events and extracurricular initiatives to enrich the educational experience.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching credential.
  • In-depth understanding of the drama and performing arts educational framework.
  • Experience with BTEC Performing Arts is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to inspire and engage students across various skill levels.
  • Dedication to fostering a safe and welcoming learning environment.
