Position Overview

Role: Performing Arts Educator

Organization: GSL Education

Location: London Borough of Wandsworth
Salary: £160 - £240 per day
Contract Type: Full-time

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Performing Arts Educator to join our dynamic team in a Secondary Academy. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about the arts and eager to inspire students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons in drama and music to students at KS3 and KS4.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and self-expression.
  • Organize and oversee school performances and drama events.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing meaningful feedback and guidance.
  • Engage in school-wide activities and events to enrich the educational experience.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching credential.
  • In-depth knowledge of the drama and performing arts curriculum.
  • Experience with BTEC Performing Arts is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to motivate and inspire students across diverse backgrounds.
  • Dedication to fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.
