High-Level Forensic Psychologist Position

The North London Forensic Service (NLFS) is seeking a highly skilled Clinical or Forensic Psychologist to join our Specialist Community Forensic Team. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and communities.

Job ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for a talented psychologist who can provide specialist psychological assessment and therapy services to patients under our care. Your expertise will be invaluable in advising and consulting with non-psychologist colleagues and other carers on clients' psychological care. You will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures.
In collaboration with the Consultant Psychology Lead for SCFT, you will deliver psychology leadership within the Choices Community Partnership stream of the Specialist Community Forensic team. This includes supporting the continued development of the interface between inpatient and outpatient forensic mental health services with respect to psychology provision. Additionally, you will utilize research skills for audit, policy, service development, and research within the area served by the team/service to evaluate the service and provide evidence for further service development.
Key Requirements- A doctoral level training in clinical psychology or a doctoral or master's level training in forensic psychology with full competencies completed.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Pre-qualification training and qualifications in research methodology, staff training, and/or other fields of applied psychology.
