Commercial Insurance Specialist

Job Summary
Our client, a leading insurance broker, is seeking a skilled Commercial Client Handler to join their expanding team in Essex. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial clients, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring seamless insurance solutions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse range of commercial clients, including SMEs and larger businesses, to understand their insurance needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Handle new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Obtain quotations from leading insurance providers and effectively communicate with clients to address their queries and concerns.
- Liaise closely with the Account Executive to develop and implement renewal strategies, attend client meetings as needed, and ensure a smooth renewal process.
- Obtain and present renewal terms to clients, ensuring they understand their insurance options.
- Issue renewal documentation in accordance with contract certainty, ensuring clients are fully informed and compliant.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar commercial insurance role, preferably with a leading insurance broker.
- Strong knowledge of commercial and SME risks, including liability, property, and business interruption insurance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in insurance software and systems.
- Experience with Acturis or similar insurance software.
- Professional certifications, such as the Cert CII, or a willingness to pursue further education and training.
