About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Research Manager to join our team at Queen Mary University of London. As a key member of our Faculty's Senior Research Managers, you will provide high-level professional advice and support for the ongoing development and implementation of School research strategies, innovation activities, and impact strategies.
You will be responsible for the effective management of administrative services supporting research activities, including significant liaison with the Strategic Faculty Research Manager, the Director of Research, and Heads of research groups/centres within the School.
As a Research Manager, you will lead on the operational support and management of research funding in the School for Biological and Behavioural Sciences, including financial reporting and management of bids and proposals.
You will work closely with colleagues in central Professional Services, including the Research Services Directorate, VP Research and Innovation's office, Marketing and Communications.
About You
We are looking for an individual with excellent analytical, financial management, and communication skills. You should have a strong understanding of academic research areas and the ability to develop knowledge of these areas to support research in the biological and behavioural sciences.
You will enjoy developing and implementing research strategies, managing research funding, and providing high-level support to academic staff.
