Job Title: Health Visiting Staff Nurse

Join HCRG Care Group as a Health Visiting Staff Nurse and play a vital role in providing preventative and supportive healthcare to children and families in Wiltshire.

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the Health Visiting Team, providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable children and families. As a Health Visiting Staff Nurse, you will work closely with the Health Visitor and other healthcare professionals to deliver the Healthy Programme in a variety of settings, including the home and community venues.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Work within the boundaries of the Staff Nurse Competency framework to provide high-quality care and support to children and families.
  2. Help the Health Visiting Team to achieve Key Performance Indicators by identifying and addressing health needs at the earliest opportunity.
  3. Work in partnership with children and families to provide appropriate support and achieve positive outcomes.
  4. Support Infant feeding and parent-infant relationships by adhering to the Baby Friendly Initiative Standards.
  5. Complete the Family Health Needs assessment for allocated mandated reviews and update the SCPHN (Health Visitor) with any areas of concern.
Requirements:
  1. NMC registration in a field of nursing.
  2. Experience in working with children and families.
  3. Holds a full driving license, and car owner.
  4. Knowledge of national and local policy in Children's Service and Public Health.
  5. Understanding of child development.
  6. Ability to promote and safeguard the welfare of children and families with the skills to build sustainable professional boundaries.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues in plain language at all levels both within and outside the organisation.
  8. Ability to work alone and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  9. Evidence of effective teamwork.
  10. Demonstrates an interest in public health and Health Visiting.
  11. Ability to work flexibly to respond to service needs.
  12. Computer literate.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Registered Children's Nurse.
  2. Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
