Protocol Education is seeking a highly skilled Maths Academic Mentor to join our team. As a Maths Academic Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students aged 11-16 years in mainstream secondary community schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored programmes that complement ongoing class work, learning objectives, and assessment plans in collaboration with the class teacher.
  • Work one-to-one or in small groups with students who are falling behind academically to ensure they achieve in upcoming exams.
  • Adapt the content, style, and format of tuition to ensure the most effective results are achieved.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils and school contacts through session delivery, review meetings, tuition progress reports, and feedback.

Requirements:

  • Hold a degree and have tutoring experience or be confident in delivering maths interventions.
  • Have great subject knowledge and the ability to plan and communicate it effectively in one-to-one or small group settings.
  • Be flexible and committed to delivering engaging, challenging, and developmental sessions over the course.
