Senior Accounting Analyst II

As a Senior Accounting Analyst II, you'll be part of our Accounting Team in Cambridge, responsible for a number of legal entities within the Europe region. This role is based in Cambridge and will be hub and hybrid with the expectation of 1 to 2 days a week in the Illumina Centre office.

Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain one or more accounting systems, including journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, and Revenue Reconciliation.
- Review and interpret financial reporting requirements, rules, and regulations.
- Prepare profit and loss, cash flow, income, and balance sheet statements and monitor and develop monthly reports of revenue and expenditure for projects.
- Provide record of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.
- Assist in the setup of processes and procedures that properly capture, track, and report transactions in accordance with company policy.
- Interpret reports and records for managers/stakeholders.
- Apply advanced wide-ranging experience and professional knowledge to provide solutions in creative and effective ways.
- Direct the application of existing principles and guide the development of new policies and ideas.
- Work on complex assignments where problem-solving requires in-depth evaluation of varying factors and practices/procedures must be determined.
- Enhance internal and external working relationships and networks with key contacts outside the area of expertise.
- Adapt style to differing audiences and frequently advise others on complex matters that relate to the wider business and require persuasion.
- May train and mentor junior-level staff.
- Strong accounting proven experience alongside ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent qualification.
- Commercially focused background, either from practice or industry.
