Key Responsibilities- Support the development and implementation of safety management systems to meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate safety risks associated with product introduction and application projects.
- Develop and maintain safety plans, risk assessments, and safety cases to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams on safety assurance and risk management.
- Conduct audits and reviews to ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the safety knowledge and skills of employees.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Education: HND or equivalent in an engineering-related subject.
- Accreditation as an Expert in Safety Assurance.
- Practical experience in safety engineering or safety assurance and systems engineering.
- Understanding of the Common Safety Method for Risk Evaluation and Assessment and associated procedures and application.
- Understanding of CENELEC Standards, including BSEN50126/8/9 and associated procedures and application.
- Accreditation as a Senior Expert in Safety Assurance.
- Experience in safety or software auditing.
- Understanding of Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability Modelling and Failure Recording and Corrective Action System.
- Understanding of Requirements Management.
- Understanding of Verification, Validation, and Test (VV&T).
- Ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines and prioritize work.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to prepare concise written arguments and reports.
- Attention to detail.
- Mentoring ability.
