About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Autism Support Worker to join our team at Search, a leading provider of support services for individuals with a variety of needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support and care to service users with learning difficulties such as Autism, promoting independence, dignity, and well-being.
- Coordinate and allocate work tasks, ensuring that support is delivered effectively and in line with individual care plans.
- Provide hands-on support to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, fostering a person-centred approach.
- Undertake assessments and reviews of individual care plans, ensuring a coordinated approach to care.
- Liaise with families, carers, and external professionals to ensure a seamless delivery of care.
- Monitor and report on the progress and well-being of clients, providing regular updates.
- Support with staff training, development, and supervision, promoting a culture of excellence.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a similar role within the social care sector.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, promoting a culture of collaboration.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care, with a focus on excellence.
